Guest guest
Does anyone know anything about acupressure beads that adhere to one's ear. Where are they found/purchased/used by a practitioner? David

I've heard this to be especially effective for patients trying to stop smoking. If you're looking specifically for beads, maybe someone else can help with that. I'm not sure how to find a practitioner that uses this technique, especially since I don't know where you live. If you lived in my area I know of some, but probably the best way to go about it would be if you know anyone in your area receiving the treatment to ask them, second to that I would use one or both of the links I've included at the end to call practitioners in your area and just ask them if they practice this technique (a name of the technique might be helpful here, but I'll have to leave that to someone else to answer). Two websites for finding a practitioner in your area This one is the NCCAOM (I would plug in zip code 1909 for this search or 190 if you want to be more broad, and just leave the rest blank) http://dol.jkmcomm.com/acupuncture/default.asp http://www.acufinder.com/search_acupuncturists.php This is a link to one store that sells seeds and beads if you are looking for them for your own use, if you want to buy them in bulk say for instance if you are a practitioner, then you might want to find a site that sells them in bulk so you could get a better discount. Someone else might have a better link if you have this purpose in mind. http://www.lhasaoms.com/ear_pellets-28-page.html
Guest guest
David: These are indeed seeds and are used for quitting smoking, among other things. They worked for me years ago. They are taped inside the ear over particular ear points, and may be squeezed whenever the person feels the desire to smoke. Am actually looking to buy some in China to help someone quit smoking, but that might be a bit far for you. Much better than the patch, I understand, someone just said that American cigarettes have seen an increase in nicotine content over the past few years, so patch makers have had to adjust the nicotine dosage in their patches. Can cigarette companies sink any lower? Kind regards, Jack --- DNBursky wrote: > Does anyone know anything about acupressure beads > that adhere to one's ear. > Where are they found/purchased/used by a > practitioner? > > David > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > > > >
