Again thank you for your reply. You asked

 

It sounds like the first acupuncturist is a TCM acupuncturist or at

least uses some TCM. Did she do a pulse and tongue diagnosis?

 

Yes she did do this and while I don't remember exactly what that specific

diagnosis was, her general diagnosis was the same as yours. She felt that he

had multiple imbalances that needed to be corrected. To that end we did a

parasite cleanse and a colon cleanse and his diet somewhat. Neither the color

cleanse or the parasite cleanse produced any noticeable differences or problems.

I know we still need to do the liver and kidney cleanses and I suppose I have

hesitated because I'm not really a doctor :^) so sometimes doing these things

makes me nervous.

 

As far as magnesium deficiency I have also thought that, especially since I am

sure he doesn't absorb nutrients well. I didn't know about the test though and

I will have his doctor run that when we go in next week.

As far as getting any answers from the doctors at this point that is pretty

useless. They assume he is taking all the drugs they have prescribed and just

want to give him more for what they see as side effects. They will however do

pretty much any test I ask for.

 

You also mentioned the Chase Wind Penetrate Bone formula

 

The formula also has herbs for Blood Stasis as well as herbs to

improve Qi, Blood, Yin, and Yang. But I suspect not enough tonic

action as your friend needs. (I'll go into that more in the next

post.)

 

This did make a significant and seemingly lasting difference to him and that is

very very unusual. Is there another formula that you know of that would have a

greater tonic action? Or perhaps are there specific food lists that I could

find that would contribute to that?
