This is a big issue but for now I would like to give assurances that to take herbs that build the immune system is not contraindicated for any hyper or autoimmune issues. Autoimmunity needs immune building herbs just as hypofunctioning does. Do not be afriad of herbs such as Cordyceps or Astragulus when suffering autoimmune reactivities. Such herbs are actually 'immune regulators' and are helpful for all immunity problems defeciency or excess. In fact Cordyceps is an excellant herb for autoimmunity - it can be taken with benefit by most everyone. It will not be possible to make decisions about the many complicated issues related to herbs without an in depth understanding of 'all' of the issues.
