Guest guest
Hi, you mentioned that the Kidneys " open into the ears " and i've got a question about that. I have been practicing qigong meditation for about a year now, and recently my left ear has been throbbing in pain that goes down into my jaw. The chi master I see tells me its my Kidney meridians opening up. He suggested that I concentrate on my ears and this will help the chi move out. When I do this, I do get a few pops, but the ear is still completely blocked. I just can't tell if its okay, or if the ear is infected or what I need to do. I've just been concerned because it has been tremendously painful for a few days now. Has anyone else had this experience with qigong? Thanks a lot, amy Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Guest guest
Qi Gong should not be extremely painful. You may very well have an ear infection or some dental problem. You can make a good argument that Kidney qi is blocked allowing for an infection....but I would go see a good herbalist/acupuncturist or dentist/MD. Guest guest
Hi, Amy: You may wish to visit an acupuncturist about this. My suspicioun is that you've got negative or xie qi that wants to emerge out of your Kidney meridian, and this is what your master is talking about. Not sure what he means by concentrating on it. For my sciatica, my acupuncturist would use a technique on my Liver meridian to release the negative qi called " xie fa. " It's basically a manipulation to release negative qi. If this was not done, then the foot would swell. Again, though, check with your acupuncturist. Kind regards, Jack --- Amy Shaw <amymshaw wrote: > Hi, > > you mentioned that the Kidneys " open into the ears " > and i've got a question about that.
