I am learning more and more about my fibromyalgia and other syndromes in

terms of TCM. From Vinod's postings I can see how everything starts at

the cellular level. The mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cells, can

not perform as needed. The insulin resistance, hypoglycemia, IBS, and

IC are symptoms of this. Also, the muscle spasms and muscles that are

in continuous spasm that cause the tiredness and fatigue. This leads to

the insomnia, which cycles back to the body not being able to repair

itself. And it all starts again.

I have returned to the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and am very

happy with my new practitioner. I am using the new herb " granules "

instead of decocting tea from fresh herbs. My family members strongly

objected to the smell of the tea when I was boiling and reboiling it, so

the granules are very practical for me. They made me up my own special

mixture that I take eight small scoops twice per day mixed with some

lukewarm water. More water can be added to lessen the bitterness of the

drink.

I go back this Thursday for more acupuncture and granules and will see

how I improve over time. It took me 25 years for my health to get this

bad, it will take some time to get better. But, at least I am doing

something about it.
