Guest guest
Based on the info that you posted about mercury's effects in the body,do you think chelation is effective in removing it?Also a question for the TCM posters: How would TCM specifically address the issue of mercury thats being stored in the body due to dental fillings etc?I recently learned from my TCM doc that toxins can be stored in different " layers " of the body with some being stored deep inside of our systems. This was in reference to why acupuncture and cupping are effective treatments for sciatica and low back.Very interesting. It is different for everyone. Because some people are exposed to mercury and don't have the obvious neuneurological (and other) symptoms, I guess it is because they just have a stronger constitution. Other people have one mercury filling installed and they break down completely. In any case, there are several different types of chelation, but from what I am told, I would sure avoid the intra-venous kind, unless the doctor is a real specialist in this. The " side effects " (really the main effects) are horrendous. Chelation of any kind (various orally- taken substances or the foot detox patch) must be accompanied by appropriate diet and supplementation. If it was me I would put myself under the care of a doctor with much experience in chelation of any type.
