Guest guest
Hi all, I do distribute XanGo, which is a health beverage made from Mangosteen juice. I have heard of and seen mangosteen mentioned in connection with Chinese medicine, not sure if dietary or herbal. I also just recently finished my own certificate course in TCM and in my studies didn't come across mangosteen being used in therapy at all, mind you I didn't probably pay attention at the time. Can anybody recall if mangosteen is in fact used in TCM in herbal or dietary therapy, maybe it is not mentioned in western text books as it is not easily available here unless used in said juiced form.?. It is claimed that it has a whole number of health benefits and I like to get to the root of things, look at other medicines that may use the fruit. Any information anybody may have is greatly appreciated. :-) Thanks, Claudia. www.InnerWellness.NaturesWellnessSecret.com InnerWellness > > Claudia: > > Looks like a promising fruit, thanks for sharing the > article. > > Jack > >

I don't know how much help this is, but a couple of years ago a woman I knew was selling Sunrider products by multilevel marketing, and one of the formulas contained mangosteen. Sunrider products are made of oriental herbs (some not well known), though from what I know they don't seem to always follow the general rules for making a formula. It is kind of one-size-fits-all, but my son did enjoy and thrive on one of the products (for intestinal weakness). He still asks for it (!) but they have just gotten too expensive, almmost outrageous in price. But if I did have that kind of $$ I would not hesitate to buy him more of that product, a concentrated herbal powder that is mixed with liquid of your choice. - Mrs. Barley. Guest guest
Hi Mrs. Barley, thanks for your reply. I have not heard of sunrider products but I agree, if it helps it's probably a good thing. A lot of health products marketed through network marketing seemsrather expensive. That's why I like the Mangosteen Juice, it is not cheap but it is defenitely affordable. I am diabetic and it has helped stabilize my blood sugar level as well as my weight since I have been taking it and a cousin who suffers from seasonal depressive disorders has noticed incredible improvements in a matter of days. I am still looking for a reference to Mangosteen being used in chinese medicine and also in Ayurveda. I know it is used very successfully in Thai medical folklore, yet having studied TCM I would like to see if there is a connection yet. Anybody? Thanks, blessing, Claudia. www.InnerWellness.NaturesWellnessSecret.com InnerWellness > > Hi all, > > I do distribute XanGo, which is a health beverage made from > Mangosteen juice.
