Guest guest
I'm sorry for the offtopic question, but it is connected with an important healing issue. Can anyone tell me the meaning of the circle of little chinese figures joining hands around a padded cushion in the chinese cloth 'artifact'? They seem a common traditional item, a bit like the Russian dolls. They are used as pin-cushions sometimes in our culture, but I have seen chinese children holding them in films on chinese culture. Please email me if you have any knowledge of their meaning. Guest guest
Jackie: My source says that this design is often put on pillows of newlyweds to indicate the desire for many children, prosperity and development of the new household. Of course, Chinese are limited to one or two children these days by law.
