Hello,

I have a patient case that I would appreciate some help with.

37 year old male. Insomnia for 7 years. Often doesn't sleep at all for

days and days. If he does sleep its not deep and not any longer than a

couple of hours. Very irritable and has violent tendencies, especially

around fellow car drivers. A body builder. Used to take steroids 15

years ago. Has a fear of " missing something " when he is falling asleep.

Bites his nails to the point of bleeding. Type A personality. Very

charming and talkative. Middle Eastern ancestry. Mild anxiety or

mania, but no depression or down time. Dark circles around his eyes.

Green complexion. Pulse is weaker, slightly wiry. Tongue, has pale

sides, slightly red tip and slight coating.

The main symptom that is curious is that he says that his face burns

when he shaves. It takes him two hours to shave. Then after he is done

shaving, his eyes swell and burn. He says the facial pain is not on the

superficial skin but deeper in the face. He's had this for 7 years as

well. He is needle phobic. I've convinced him to have two aggressive

energy drains. Neither time were there any redness, but he seemed a lot

more grounded after them. Any ideas of ways to help with the facial

pain?

Thank you,

Blaise

These are classic overheating symptoms (false heat) - the excess

heat must be removed from the blood and the Qi of the Liver must be

coursed so that the energy will circulate in a more effective

manner. Reducing the heat will calm him considerably and reduce the

inappropriate affect and reactivity. Upward moving Evil Wind can

destroy a persons life and put everyone around them under stress.

This is of course very harmful to the Heart. Such people do not

think clearly and have many 'strange' ideas. Improving the quality

of the blood (removing the excess acids)will go a long way toward

improving the affective disorder. Toxic people who do not move the

blocked toxic energy properly are among the most difficult people in

society to deal with. They are miserable and make everyone else

miserable.

Drain the Liver (the seat of the false heat). Many blame this

disease on Testosterone - but it is really the Liver that is not

converting the Testosterone and circulating it properly that is at

fault. Acid blood stresses not just the Liver but the Kidneys and

the Acidic stagnant Liver attacks the Stomach/Spleen further

complicating the issues - all of this weakens the Heart so in such

cases it is easy to see how excess heat can break down the body at

all levels.
