Zenisis I know exactly what you mean. You didn't sound preachy.Nothing

worse than feeling misled by a doctor due to patient passivity or lack

of awareness of other choices. This is not my case.My acupuncturist is

Chinese and taught in China as well as here in the US.His credentials

check out but he is kind of an " old style " Chinese doc. The kind of

doctor that is used to telling people what to do,they do it and don't

question it.I'm probably not the only patient that finds that

frustrating sometimes.I've had no problem confronting him with the side

effects questions or any other stuff it's more that I'm not the kind of

patient that automatically does everything that a doctor tells me to

do.Never have been, which annoys the heck out some practioners

lol...The info thats been provided here however has been very

helpful. It allows me to make a more educated choice based on other

practioners experiences and knowledge. The better informed we are the

better the outcome I think.

Oh brother, one of those. That's exactly the attitude that my ob/gyn

had; had I known better I would have just gone to someone else, but that

is just me. At times I mistakenly assume that 'alternative' practioners

are less (let's call a spade a spade) authoritarian in their approach.

Well, I am interested in knowing what he says about the side effects.

Please post when you return from your visit if you do not mind. Also,

if there is a TCM school in your area, maybe you can safely get an

'second opinion' if you are not satisfied with his answer.
