Guest guest
If an herb is not doing as much as it needs to do, instead of increasing the dosage of the herb, one adds another herb to the formula instead of upping the dose of the first herb. For example, if the problem is Qi Deficiency, the formula now contains 2 Qi tonic herbs instead of 1. However, there are clients who will require lower than normal dosages of herbs and formulas. At least in the beginning. This is a common occurence with people with CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome.) Not only do PWCs tend to react in unexpected ways to common prescription drugs and require much lower dosages of those (and do better on drugs with shorter half-lives than longer half-lives), they may require lower than normal dosages of certain minerals, vitamins, and herbs at first until their bodies improve to the point where they can take the normal dosages.
