Guest guest
Wedding rings reduce male power and develop impotence 10/10/2005 The Slavs used to wear wedding rings for not more than four hours a day not to lose the sexual power A wedding ring, which many men constantly wear on the fourth finger, may initiate a variety of sexual disorders and eventually end up with partial or even complete impotence. A recent research work conducted by Belarussian scientists revealed that widespread beliefs of losing strong virility after many years of wearing the wedding ring on the ring finger are based on certain scientific reasons. A well-known bio-therapist, healer Sergei Gagarin, commented on the latest scientific discovery to Pravda.Ru. " Any educated person probably may remember the so-called right hand screw rule from the course of physics: when the electric conductor moves into a closed circuit, the self-induction EMF (electromotive force) with a certain vector occurs in it. Similarly, the nerves in human fingers can be compared to the conductor, while the wedding ring acts like a closed circuit. " If a finger is placed in the ring circuit, the latter intensifies the flow of specific energy in the finger. Some people may probably know that the so-called kidney meridian passes the fourth finger. The energy flows to the Swadhishthana charka (Self or Own Abode) which supervises the urogenital system and the sexual sphere to a certain extent. " If a man takes his wedding ring off periodically, the positive effect of the energy current on the sexual sphere manifests itself explicitly. However, if a man wears the ring all the time, the situation may change for the worse. Constant dropping wears away the stone, as they say. " The Slavs used to wear wedding rings for not more than four hours a day. Their sexual powers were rather strong, which can be seen in ancient Slavic tales. Slavic families traditionally had a lot of children. " I would like to emphasize at this point that it is a rather complicated problem - my explanation embraces only a small part of it. One may continue talking about the subject and dwell upon the qualities of metals - silver and gold - and which influence the metals have on human organisms. On the whole, one may come to the following conclusion: those who do not wear wedding rings 24/7 may have a lot fewer problems in their sex lives. Guest guest
In China, many people do not wear wedding rings after they are married. It's culturally understood that nearly everyone is married after a certain age, so there is no need for a gold band to demonstrate the fact. Wonder if this is so because of concerns about Qi flow? Its a very obvious constant pressure being applied when the men have a big belly that hangs over their belt. Penel
Guest guest
Nice funny joke this article. But what can you expect of a magazine for lay people, written by lay people(the journalists)? After seven years some say this finger starts to 'itch'! So what if there is a micro 'electromotive force' on the fourth finger, which, by the way has no kidney meridian on it, but the triple-heater(which some equate with the endocrine system). But why wouldn't it have a positive effect, rather than a negative one? The mention of the chakra in connection of a fictitious meridian on the finger shows the 'soft science' approach of these supposed 'scientific researches'. The 'impotence', developed by the unfortunate husbands are more probably due to a variety of other causes rather than the poor rings. And a slavonic superstitious custom doesn't prove anything. Probably those who take off their rings and 'feel potent' have their eyes on an attractive girl(and don't want a wedding ring to spoil their chances of making a 'catch'). Guest guest
<snip. > Wonder if this is so because of concerns about Qi > flow? > Jack I've heard this in casual conversation regarding both men and women. The person who shared had recently gotten married and was having a bit of trouble not being distracted by the feeling of the ring. If a wedding ring is too tight a jeweler can adjust it to make it fit more comfortable. My wedding ring is fairly loose and held on mostly by my knuckle. When I take it off there is no indentation in my flesh where it was but when I was first married I found the feeling of it there to be a distraction. Gosh, I find wearing glasses, knee high socks and some styles of underware (on myself ;-) a distraction to wear. I wonder about women wearing high heeled shoes placing constant pressure on the last few points of their Bladder Meridian and the first couple points on their Spleen Meridian. What's that doing to their Qi flow? I look at men walking around tied in the middle like a sausage with their belly hanging over their belt and the buckle of it placing constant pressure at Conception Vessel 6. I ask myself, is that a prostate adventure waiting to happen? Penel

I haven't noticed any diffrence between the races with that belt thing here in Chicago. Maybe everyone's just fatter up here. I don't think you could find a pair of pants that would cover some of the haras I've been seeing. Yeah guys, we do look. It might not seem like it sometimes but we ARE checking you out ;-) There's another dress thing I've been seeing lately. Its young women dressing so you can see their belly. I can remember years ago it was the fashion but the only women doing it they were skinny. Some of the young women doing it look pregnant plus they have " love handles " hanging over their pants on the sides. I've seen a couple with jackets cut short so that wearing a coat in the winter doesn't even cover it up. They must be freezing! Everytime I see a young woman dressed like that this winter (one of the coldest snowiest winters we're had here in a long time) is that in traditional Japan during cold weather they wear a special sort of a wrapping around the mid section of the body to keep their kidneys warm. Its not good to let one's kidneys get cold in the winter. Penel

I want to emphasize to the readers who are new to TCM that how one dresses can impact one's health. A person may be merely uncomfortable due to a fashion fad in the beginning, but later on it can really take a toll in health. Like exposing skin - especially around the middle - in cold weather. It's like what happens with too much exposure to sun. In the short-term, there's the discomfort of sunburn, but in the long-run, there's skin cancer. In this case, in the short-term there is discomfort from cold; in the long-run there's damage to the kidneys and then to the Kidneys. BTW, I need to get some leg-warmers. Or make some. I'm having a lot of problems this winter with cold affecting my lower legs. At times walking is difficult and slow because of the problem. I still have that vulnerability to exterior Pernicious Evils, especially Cold. It's not affecting me the way it did in the past (the horrible headaches) because of the TCM steps I've taken. For the readers on the list who are new to TCM, this is an example of why correcting Roots is so important. The Root (vulnerability to exterior Pernicious Evils - especially Cold) has been corrected a lot, but not totally. Because of certain steps I took and continue to take, it's no longer manifesting as the severe headaches. But it is manifesting in my lower legs. It doesn't help that some of the pants I wear around the house only come part way down my lower leg. They're OK for summer, but not winter. I also need to buy more pants that come down to my ankles. I also want to point out to readers new to TCM that I was sick for decades before I began to get proper TCM treatment. The longer a person has been sick, the longer it takes to correct imbalances. I can remember being bothered by cold and hating the winter and loving the summer even as a young child. Plus, some imbalances take longer to correct than others.
