Does anyone have any takes on this from a TCM perspective?

have tried drops and ointments from doctors(antibiotics/cortisone)

which alleviates symtoms temporarily, but then it re occurs .

Mainly on left hand eyelids.

Any specific herbs? Or well proven formulas?

Kind regards from Rob

There is an acupoint specifically for treating styes. Works like a charm from my

experience. Have you tried it?

Please tell the rest of us too. I just had someone ask me about stye's (sp)

a few days ago.

I forgot to ans. their question , but i would've said boil water and use

sterile gauze , cotton or other cloth to wash the area with. scrub the lash

area as best you can , and if you have been losing lashes some mild soap should

be placed on the cloth to wash the area with. this will clear up the problem

if it stems from mites.

If it is a matter of your body throwing off toxins then the sterlie water

and cloth should be used to wash the area sans soap, and used as a compress.

Make sure not to contaminate the water by dipping the gauze or fingers in

the sterile water, and by using a fresh gauze for each application of the

compress.

You can also use any of the following herbs in your water to make the

compress or eye wash. Use as often as you like, but be very careful not to let

the

water drip into the other eye.

goldenseal, eyebright, and camomile are just a few that can be used with

success, These are method's that I grew up using, was taught by Mom, and have

worked for generations. I am curious as to what the general etiology is, and the

Chinese thought about why they appear and how to treat them.
