Holmes wrote the 2 volume " the Energetics of Western Herbs; treatment

strategies integrating Western and Oriental herbal medicine " . Its a

favorite in my home library. I study Western herbs using both Western

and TCM assessment.

 

Note;

I don't think its that he would use the herbs as " simples " . He's simply

explaining the herbs one at a time by their major values to be used

in relationship to their energetics.

 

I'd recommend his book to any student of herbalism. Its a cultural

eye opener to any student of Chinese herbal med. Its a whole new

vocabulary to learn for the Western herbal student.

 

Beyond Peter Holmes, beyond what Jeremy Ross has published, if you

know what to look for any herb can be extrapolated into a TCM

understanding.
