Guest guest
Something else students learn early in TCM training is the role of Qi Stagnation and/or Blood Stasis in pain. The pain from Qi Stagnation is diffuse. Like pain from gas. It doesn't have clear, defined boundaries. It sort of fades out gradually around the boundaries. It's a matter of here it hurts less, a little less over here, until finally the area doesn't hurt. But it's not clear exactly where the pain begins and ends. It's diffuse. It also tends to move around. Again, like gas pains. The pain from Blood Stasis is very sharp and well-defined. It doesn't " fade out " at the boundaries. There's a very clear boundary. This side hurts; that side of the boundary doesn't. Blood Stasis pain stays in a definite location. Another part of TCM training is learning what can cause Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis. There are various possible causes.
