Guest guest
Hello All I fell from the top of the stair on the second floor and landed on the bottom of the stair(13 steps). No broken bones, not that painful anymore. just big ugly bruises (multi-color: red, purple, dark blue, black). the biggest one is the size of a CD disk. the smaller ones are just as scary looking as the big one. kindly let me know --- what is the best way to reduce the " skin discoloration " or make them disappeared. Thank you. Isis

This isn't TCM but one of the Edgar Cayce remedies. Put some table salt into a clean washcloth or hand towel. Pour some apple cidar vinegar over the salt until the salt and the towel are wet, but not dripping. Place the towel over the affected area and leave in place for at least one hour. Longer if you can. I don't know how long it will take to get rid of bruises which already have formed because my husband and I use it when a bruise is likely to form. The first time he tried it was when he caught his body in between a weight he was lifting and the weight bench. I had to talk him into trying it. The next day, there was one very tiny bruise which looked like a bruise which is almost faded. The kind of blow he took should have produced a large area of bruising. When he fell off a ladder, I didn't have to talk him into trying it. He was calling for the salt and apple cidar vinegar. The next day there was again one very small area that looked like a bruise which has faded and is about to disappear entirely. He also said that the pack reduced the pain some. It's important to use apple cidar vinegar. Others on the list may know some other things which work. A blow hard enough to leave a bruise - especially a very large and black one - can produce localized Blood Stasis which continues even after the bruise has faded. I don't know if the salt and apple cidar vinegar will correct that. It may, but I don't know for sure.
Guest guest
Arnica Montana in balm has tremendous effect when rubbed used right after the hit occurs, it also helps later. Although not TCM, it still works - it also can be used in tincture, and homeopatic grains.
