Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have been lurking here forever and I thought I should introduce my self. I am 21 and from michigan. I have always been interested in chinese medicine and would like to go to a school and learn it one day. If anyone has any school recommendations or info to help me along the path it would be much appriated. Anyway, back to my question. Can chinese medicine help with anxiety? more specificlly social anxiety. And what method would be used? Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you all, Andrea -- The all-new My - What will yours do?
Guest guest
Dear Sandee: Where are you located? there are some good schools in California. TCM can help with anxiety, but the specific treatment depends first on how your practitioner diagnoses you. Methods may include acupuncture, electronic acupuncture, Tui Na massage, moxibustion. Your practitioner may ask you to make diet and lifestyle changes. Hope that helps, Jack > If > anyone has any school recommendations or info to > help > me along the path it would be much appriated. > Anyway, > back to my question. Guest guest
Hi, Chinese medicine is a great way to treat social anxiety. Social anxiety is a symptom belonging to heart deficiency. This just means that your heart needs to be nourished and your spirit calmed, either with Acupuncture or with Herbs. (I prefer the latter). However, since every person and every case is unique, it is hard to predict how long it will take to cure your problem. What I can say is that if you find a good practitioner, and you yourself are willing to be patient, it will definitely work in the end. It's best to study Chinese medicine in China, but if you do not have the means to come here, then look for an accredited school in your area. Being acredited means that the school has met the standards for set by the government of your area. Although I do hope that the standards continue to improve, it is a good start. Hope this helps, Mei Chinese Traditional Medicine , Sandee <midnight_crimson> wrote: > > Hello everyone, > I have been lurking here forever and I thought I > should introduce my self. Guest guest
Atul: Yo San University is located on Washington Blvd. in Culver City near Marina del Rey, and Emperor's College in Santa Monia, another is located near the 405 Freeway in Culver City. There are more, and a good list is found here: http://dmoz.org/Health/Alternative/Acupuncture_and_Chinese_Medicine/Schools/ Regards, Jack --- tulu 489 <tulu489 wrote: > > I would appreciate if you please let me know the > names > of TCM schools in LA area. > > Atul Tiwari > --- Jack Sweeney <mojavecowboy wrote: > > > > Dear Sandee: > > > > Where are you located? there are some good schools > > in > > California. > > > > TCM can help with anxiety, but the specific > > treatment > > depends first on how your practitioner diagnoses > > you. > > > > Methods may include acupuncture, electronic > > acupuncture, Tui Na massage, moxibustion.
