Guest guest
Hi, Does anyone know about doctors that specialize in treating psychiatric problems (sleep/anxiety problems)? I came across this book called Chinese Medical Psychiatry by Dr. Robert Flaws & Dr. James Lake. Is this book well known in the TCM world? And are there doctos who use it for their practice? thanks for any pointers I can get here. -Sanjeev
Guest guest
Unless a person only treats pain, I don't know of an acupuncturist/herbalist who does not treat it every day. The book is a great one. Bob Flaws is great about taking the time to explain the problem in both western medicine and TCM. Personally I find the herbs are the strongest component in treating the mind long term, but then I'm biased since I am an herb nerd. Guest guest
Hi, Chinese herbal medicine is the way to go for psychiatric problems. The doctor that I'm apprenticing with has treated many cases of schizophrenia with just herbs alone. It takes time, but this is one of those cases where slow and steady has a better and more lasting effect.
