Guest guest
Peter, Some chuan xiong may help to better direct the RX to her head and increase bloodflow to her nasal membranes. This seems to be the most commonly used blood mover for sinus conditions that I've seen. Mark
Guest guest
from my experience with similar conditions, , i would suggest a few things. chuan xiong added to the formula can get blood moving in the head; although it is somewhat warming, and may need to be balanced with increased amount of one of the cooling herbs in the formula. also, avoidance of wheat and/or dairy, since research suggests that up to 85% of population may be at least mildly allergic to one or the other. finally, a good daily dose of vitamin A, like 25,000 IU, if the patient is not already doing so and has no history of liver function impairment, can be really useful in holding the integrity of the mucous membranes and has been used for many respiratory illnesses. peter chabarek, L.Ac.
