Guest guest
Thanks so much again to everyone on the list who so kindly gave me advise last month. I'd been receiving acupuncture and herbs for life long depression and anxiety, for about 7 months with no noticeable improvement when I wrote in. You gave me so much helpful information that I was able to at least understand a bit more of what the doctor was trying to do. I spoke with another doctor who reviewed the herbs and stated they were not strong enough. This was devastating as I'd been taking them religiously three times a day for months and not feeling any better. Maybe all I needed was a stronger powder and I got one last night, so I'll see what it does. I also had acupuncture, and asked for a list of the herbs included in the new powder, if that would help anyone to know. The doctor mentioned " weak shen " as a diagnosis, and I'd also been told " kidney/spleen qi deficiency with phlegm " in the past. My question today is to see if anyone knows a good source of internet info on shen and shen disturbances. I know they can run the gamut to psychosis and scary people walking around shouting at buildings, but this " weak " shen which seems more specific to hopelessness and depression. I'd love to learn more about those kinds of diagnosis if anyone has any info to share on the list, or a resource I could check out myself. Thank you again. I continue to marvel at the very thoughtful responses given to total strangers, and am so appreciative of the kindness and information shown and shared here.
