Guest guest
Liz D asked What was the name of the book? She had mentioned Dr. Eric Braverman, so I did a Google search, and perhaps she is referring to his new book = The Edge<> http://www.alibris.com/search/books/author/Braverman,%20Eric% 20R. The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health & Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage more books like this by Braverman, Eric R He has many books. This is a very interesting subject. Hope that this helps. If not check on a few of the other books he has written. Edith
Guest guest
The name of the book dealing with amino acids is - 'The Healing Nutrients Within' 'The Edge Effect' is his masterpiece on reestablishing brain chemistry. Any alternative physician can adapt his concepts to their own protocals if the basics are clearly understood. Dr. Braverman also has several interesting books on subjects like Hypertension and Sexual function - using his basic ideas of reestablishing proper brain chemistry and amino acid rebalancing. These techniques fit very nicely with a TCM practice. Someone posted info about protein testing - another source for protein testing is Life Extension Foundation - LEF has many tests available - these tests can be ordered without a prescription - they are ordered by LEF's physician and then the patient can take the order to a local blood draw lab - the prices are much cheaper than they would be if ordered in a doctors office. I know several alternative practioners who have a LEF account ($75 annual fee) and then order tests for their clients - through this service - very convenient - much more convenient than saliva testing - which is not available to California and New York residents. I use this service often to test hormones.
Guest guest
Is this the book that was showing which amino acids were deficient in certain age groups. Also you can use http://metametrix.com/ for your amino acid analysis. I did not know that LEF did the amino acid analysis tests.
