I'd like to ask something, perhaps you can help me: In Chinese concept, if spleen-stomach (SP-ST) strong, then you muscle will be strong, that's mean you will be eager to eat more and more, then you will get fat and fat. What's wrong in my statement above? Somebody can help me? I am already overweight, should I strong my SP and ST? Or I just need to weaken my LI? Please enlight me. Thank you. That isn't quite the way it works... > What's wrong in my statement above? Somebody can help me? The spleen and stomach govern digestion. If your digestion is weak, you won't be getting the proper nutrients and that would cause you to gain weight. > I am already overweight, should I strong my SP and ST? Or I just > need to weaken my LI? Neither one could be the correct way for you. It depends on other information you haven't given us. Do a search on the older files for stomach and spleen, for starters. Other posters may be able to explain more. sue
Guest guest
The treatment I had on my liver and spleen meridians increased the funciton of my digestion and reduced food hunger. Especially the need for junk food. This contributes to not gaining weight. I did notice an increase in my muscle tone with my treatment. Sorry I can't help you with chinese concept. Guest guest
There are many questionable assumptions in this posting but one comment can be made. If stomach/ spleen function is healthy then there will be no problems with unnatural food cravings. A person with good earth function eats the correct foods for their needs in the correct proportion at the proper times. All hunger issues (excess or anorexia) will not arise in a person with healthy earth function. Also in such people the body will naturally find its own ideal weight.
