Guest guest
Very interesting Penel..she has talked to me specifically about heat in an organ etc..but hasn't got into a lot of depth on the subject..and no she hasn't talked about this specifically as a group..this group is a guniea pig class it's called...it's all volunteers and we are very new at what we are doing..I'm sure when they girls went to be trained by Tom Tam they did talk about many things that they have yet to share with the group as it would be over many of the peoples heads...much of it is on intent of healing the other people..like I said it's much like healing hands...it's very soothing and comforting..and many feel it's helping..If you are ever in Boston you should look Tom Tam up and go to one of his guinea pig classes...or ask around there may be someone in your area doing it...If you are interested I could ask the women at my next class if there is a site where they show where the classes are at etc...hope you have a great weekend..huggz..Angel PS..I will have to check out the archives to learn more..thank you for the info...would I find it under files? > Has your acupuncturist mentioned that these meridians are named after > physical organs but encompass an elaborate theory of energetic > pathworking? > > For example, had your acupuncturist said you had " stagnent Liver > heat " > they wouldn't mean to be interpreted that your liver was unusually > hot > and physically congested in a Western anatomy physiology sense. > > Liver meridian is the element/pathway of your yin Wood and > Bladder/Kidney meridians deal with your Water element. > > This shared, the moderator of this list would probably suggest you go > to the early postings in this list's archives to see what that means. > > Penel
Guest guest
Log on to the Chinese Traditional Medicine website (the address is given at the bottom of each message), look at the menu on the left side of the page, and click on Messages. You can use the search function to go back to message 1. The earliest posts in the message base are designed to walk those new to TCM through the basics. The TCM concepts can be very confusing at first because the concepts are so different from those underlying Western medicine. Just keep reading, and it graducally will start to fall into place for you. And, if you have any questions about what you read, you can ask them on here.
