Guest guest
Hi all, i'm new to this message board and have only seriously looked into TCM for a couple of months. My chinese doctor diagnosed me with the problem of dampness which i have suffered from for more than 5 years. Because of the dampness, i get very hot easily (sweating, flushing etc) and have to watch what i eat etc. My spleen is weak because of the dampness and my tongue has a white coating and small red spots at the front and larger red spots at the back of the tongue. My chinese doctor said that it takes quite a long time to get rid of the dampness. She has prescribed me herbs and plenty of exercise to encourage sweating which apparently helps to get rid of the internal dampness. I do try to avoid too much sweet food and dairy products as well as alcohol which can be dampening. I read a post on this message board that suggested drinking various herbal teas such as peppermint and fennel. I would just like to know if anyone can give me further advice and/or confirm what my chinese doctor has told me. Thx all.
