Guest guest
Several months ago I had throbbing pain in my liver and stomach and nausea with my hot flashes, along with pain in my ribs. That is gone after 5 months of acupuncture. I have a different acupuncturist who I am going to see Saturday (had to reschedule from last week). Almost 3 weeks ago I changed my supplements and herbs by quite a few and I am much improved as not being depressing, now I just feel tired after exercise and the next day. If I skip a day I feel less tired but also more lethargic, if that makes sense. Lack of energy in a different way. Many Chinese practitioners I have been to say to walk every single day. What made me think I have what westerners call Fibromylgia is the pain in my hands and feet. My shoulders were killing me, but those are somewhat better, but now the back of my hips are hurting like never before. The pain in my hands and feets feel like burning and throbbing and like nerve pain. I have had carpal tunnel surgery where the channels were completely opened (not the microscopic type which might grow back) and damage to the nerves in my heels. This seems like a different kind of pain in that it coveres then entire sole of my foot and the entire inside of my hands . . . Now given all of that *before* I hear what the Acupuncturist has to say, I was going to try to make an educated guess about what may still be out of balance. Given my history with Liver and Stomach rising heat, and my asthma & other long problems, I am mguessing that leaves spleen and kindey dampness as well, from what I have read on the list. I cannot tolerate cold room to sleep in as I get up with burning lungs or catch cold so I sleep next to a heater. Damp rainy weather and additionally mold is the very worst. I feel terrible and I ache all over, like today--it has been pouring pain here for two days. On days which are sunny and dry I feel much better. I would appreciate any opinions, as I want to have something to help me evaluate what I hear on Sat. or something to help me ask the right questions . . . etc. in advance. The last person I went to really wouldn't give me a diagnosis. Everytime I asked her she would say " It is menopause making your organs weak. " She would tell me which meridians she was treating, but she would also say that the law here prevented her from giving a diagnosis. I don't know whether all Chinese practitioners are that concerned about the laws here or whether they think Americans will not undertand or believe them. Or whether that was just her. I have no way to guess what her motives were, I just need tohave the right kind of questions to ask this fella on Sat. Any suggestions for my appointment or my symptoms would be much appreciated. He said that he does pulse testing - which is good. Any info on that would be helpful. Also he has his own apothacary - the herbal cold tablets I have worked great . . .. the ones for menopause gave me dark circules under my eyes so I quit them. Feedback appreciated.
