Guest guest
Hi everyone, Below is something I read from another list, I am curious it doesn't sound like an allergy to me Someone one the list used this definition as an allergy : " An allergy is simply your immune system not functioning correctly " i have not even tried to think about what it is but her guess (gallbladder) sounds closer to correct than an allergy. What do you all think?.I won't share your thoughts with the other list I am just lurking looking for what I can find trying to stay in touch with my first love , but the contrasts are so stark now it is intersting to evaluate them and note similarities and/or differences. " Another person wrote " When I eat too many walnuts my gums start to rebel, blood must rush to them, inflaming them and if I continue on eating them they will get sore, raw feeling/tasting and I will visually get red spots/sores. I can eat about a handful w/ irritiation that lasts 24hrs. If I eat more it takes longer for my mouth to recover. This is the only nut that I can think of that does this to me. Come to think about it this is the only food item that makes my mouth react. So in that sense it is an allergy/sensitivity may be more appropriate. I wish I knew the particulars, the chemical that makes this happen out of curiousity sake " Now this sounds more like the normal definition of an allergy which from my layman's perspective is a hypersensitivity reaction to a particular allergen where symptoms can vary greatly.
