Guest guest
This isn't something I'd try to learn from a book! I've read books about it but I wouldn't attempt to put any of it into practice without a qualified practitioner at least looking over my shoulder. My understanding of moxa is that it's used primarily for tonification & stimulation, so it can make excess conditions worse, and one should also know other modalities (needles, massage, etc) as well. OK end of lecture. If you must, blue poppy has a pretty good book : Tieh Ta Ke: Traditional Chinese Traumatology and First Aid by Bob Flaws If memory serves, it covers the moxa, needles & needle hammers, cupping & formulas. It was written with martial artists in mind. Trouble is, it doesn't seem to be in print any more. http://www.bluepoppy.com
