Guest guest
I want to remind list members that Chinese Traditional Medicine originally was started as a place where people who knew little or nothing about TCM could learn the basics. In time the list grew to include TCM students and professionals and became a far better list as a result. Those new to TCM learn the basics, students get a place to review, and professionals get a place to ask questions of other professionals as well as share their knowledge with those seeking to learn, be it people new to TCM or TCM students or other professionals. As I and others have said many times, it is impossible to diagnose via email. All posters on here can do and try to do is to raise possiblities for readers to consider and research further. Raising these possiblities for those new to TCM to research further is not only helpful to them but also to the students and even some of the other professionals on the list. You'll note that some of the most knowledgeable posters on here will tell you when something is common TCM knowledge and when the information is something that they have observed repeatedly. TCM knowledge continues to grow as more and more is discovered. This is true in China as well as in other countries. One of the things the Chinese are doing is studying herbs from around the world and trying to discover their TCM properties. Sometimes herbs are discovered that have a combination of particular properties that nothing else in the TCM Materia Medica has. Like in the case of American ginseng.
