Guest guest
Cat, Do you think your might need the hormonal cream that is both estrogen and progesterone blend for your hot flashes? Just wondering. I am not sure still if some of my problems could be damaged nerves after what I read about SLS. It seems to be a neurotoxin. But since I didn't have what I felt was full acupuncture treatment follow through, I am not ready to give up on this yet. I had too many good results. I tried the blood type diet for two months stayed off of grains and all I felt was even more fatigue. I couldn't do it. I would like to know how you find dieting without grains easy??? I haven't found a nice body cream yet. But I tried different shampoos and you can use castle soap for your body and hair. But it leaves your hair flat, it is a soap leaving heavy residues. I tried a couple of shampoos and didn't like them. I want to buy locally. Finally I found Aubrey organics. The one I bought is called J.A. Y. Desert Herb shampoo. I think there were three different kinds. This shampoo is for normal to dry hair. My hair had been oily. When I stopped using all soaps with the SLS in it and petroleum products my oily hair became more normal and so did my skin. Imagine having oily skin at the age of 45? What helped me find this shampoo was buying a book called Drop Dead Gorgeous, I forgot the person who wrote it, a lady, but she works for Aubrey company and most of their products are organic. I loaned my book out. I borrowed my relatives book called Beauty to Die For by Judi Vance. You must have both books! This second one has a glossary in the back to help you figure out what the ingredients are in the products you buy. What one book doesn't' cover the other does. I have something else in common with you and that is citrus. It seems to make me constipated. I never viewed it as an allergy but I don't know why this happens. I really noticed it when I tried taking grapefruit seed extract last year for yeast overgrowth. Bad move on my part. Then I notice when I used lemons and drank too much orange juice I dried up in my gut too. Don't know how to get this to work for me again. I have a strong suspision if you switch products the you will feel even better. I felt I had arthitis for years and found corn to be the reason for my stifness and pain. I had to find a reason because the doctors said I didn't have arthritis!!!! Oh, and when I was doing dishes yesterday I was thinking about acupuncture. Being it was developed such a long time ago many of the people who had complaints didn't had the additional burden of chemical toxicity. They had target meridian problems. Probably a no brainer. So I am going to not be so critical on my acupuncturist. Take care, Liz D.

I didn't find spelt products for a while after I had been on the diet. For a couple of years I was getting up with arthritis so bad it took me a half hour to losen up in the morning. After several months on ER4YT I started to get better. IT sort of scared me off white potatoes, wheat and corn, which are the worst for type Os. >I haven't found a nice body cream yet. Guest guest
there are the phytoestrogen creams with soya in them. if you really crave dairy, you can try using a little goat dairy, it is less dampening than the cow stuff. if you find you have a problem with toxicity, there are dozens of foods in tcm that have been identified as removing toxins. bananas are one of them. if you have a lot of heat in your system, bananas may be very good for you. you would have to eat them with something that is warmer (for your spleen) though. check the url's i posted in a previous post for more. Guest guest
http://www.emerita.com/content/shop/products.jsp?id=1 This link is to show the product page. I use Emerita Progest cream. I have too much estrogen in my system. However my hormones are as balanced as they are going to get on this cream and I rarely need to use it now. My doctor suggested to use this company because they don't add a lot of other stuff to their formula. This site doesn't seems to show the ingredient listing though. You should be able to find it at the health food store but you can buy it cheaper on the net when buying some of your other health or beauty products. Most of these creams are soy products and many of the other creams have additional herbs in it. My doctor suggested for me not to use the creams with additional stuff in it because it becomes hard to determine if the dosage is incorrect or if you are having a reaction to the additional herbs. There are many herbs that help boost estrogen in your body but I would look into advice for which ones to use being that you are trying acupuncture. It is a whole seperate therapy and I think the wrong herb for your meridian imbalance can cause a treatment crash. If I recall, Ginger does give you an estrogen effect but I think it increases heat in the body. Bad thing to use if you have a heat condition. Guest guest
I eat bananas to death sometimes. When I feel sick the only thing I can eat is bananas. I am glad they have an action. Lately eating anything is a turn off, bananas don't feel as good as they once did, I think because this rib pain bugs me for any reason. Thanks for the reminder for the past posts. I have been saving many and I didn't connect that one. I believe I need to see a different acupuncturist. Definitly dietary help is required with me, not just needles. Guest guest
Sorry the soy isn't helpful. Talk to someone that could suggest a safe alternative for estrogen supplement. There are more than soy out there. LIz D. - Cat Chinese Traditional Medicine 2/2/2004 8:45:45 AM RE: [Chinese Traditional Medicine] Re:rib pain +++ -->>Cat ! Well, I am allergic to soy and there is aloe in it which according type O I should not have regularly. a burn treatment is one thing, but I also was trying to get away from it because it is contained in soft plastic. I paid $170 for an intake with a doc who I called on the phone and said that I wanted prescription for progesterone in glass container. We have a place here that makes it like that just 20 min. from my home. He wanted me to get $375 tests, so I spent the money on acupuncture treatments instead. >This site doesn't seems to show the ingredient listing though. It has almond oil, aloe, and very few other ingredients, if it is the same Emeritus progesterone cream which I use. >You should be able to find it at the health food store but you can buy >it cheaper on the net when buying some of your other health or >beauty products. > >Most of these creams are soy products and many of the other >creams have additional herbs in it. I know about the soy deal, as she the acupuncturist suggested I make my own soy milk. I tried to explain about the blood tests, and she seemed to think with acupuncture allergies would go away. I am not taking any chances ! At least for now. >My doctor suggested for me >not to use the creams with additional stuff in it because it becomes >hard to determine if the dosage is incorrect or if you are having >a reaction to the additional herbs. I went to a naturopath in VT a couple of years ago who said don't eat anything unless I know exactly what is it in. Good advice :-) The same thing goes for what can be absorbed. I did get some Avalon bath gels by the way, thanks! >There are many herbs that help boost estrogen in your body but >I would look into advice for which ones to use being that you are trying >acupuncture. I was cold all of the time and took them to stay warm. :-) Thanks for all the good info. I am going to get some bananas TODAY ! Guest guest
well, you might try citronella as a herb in your food, it is great for liver problems.
