When I first took digestive enzymes for a weak spleen, they made me constipated, and gassy. My acupuncturist said that's generally the opposite effect. Lasted about a week or ten days, then I was fine. I guess some of us just react a little differently than the norm. sue

Guest guest
Thank you for the briefing. Sorry we can't meet for treatment. I don't know what a Peat bath is. I like baths. I have avoided milk products because they bother my gut and for some reason I use powdered goats milk and feel well on it. You are very close to home here! I do have to reduce my fruit eating on some days. Your suggestion for treatment sounds very promising! Good to hear! Thank you again. Guest guest
Dr. Khaled A.. I am interested in trying the peat product listed on the link you sent me. But there is now way to purchase it online. How do I get to try this product? I bought a bottle of kidney bean extract but never set myself down to try it. I had been getting my memory stronger by taking certain supplements after the soaps made me awful sick and then I had to figure a way to get my magnesium to work for me again. I am doing fine in these two areas now and would like to try the peat. I can start the kidney bean supplement but I am not sure if it by-passes carbs will reduce my nutrient absorption in some way? Guest guest
Dear Liz, Here is some more information on Peat and Quick Slim: The following is information on the slim Quick: made up of white kidney bean extract: White Kidney Bean Extract OHI Product Name: White Kidney Bean Extract Plant Origin: Phaseolus vulgaris L Plant Part Used: Bean Appearance: Fine light yellow powder Solubility: Soluble in water slight soluble in alcohol Plant Picture: What is Phaseolamin: Phaseolamin is an amazing, non-stimulant, all-natural nutritional ingredient that is derived from the white kidney bean. It is the first nutritional ingredient that has been clinically & scientifically proven to neutralize starch, found in in your favorite foods such as potatoes, breads, pasta. rice, corn and crackers. Phaseolamin is a safe yet powerful nutritional ingredient, clinically studied to reduce the absorption of starch calories. Phaseolamin allows you to enjoy those foods that you love without all the calories. What does Phaseolamin work? During the digestive process, your body converts carbohydrates, found in starchy foods such as potatoes and pasta, into sugar. Your body does this by breaking-down the carbohydrate molecule with alpha amylase, an enzyme that is produced in the pancreas. These sugar calories are either burned off, through exercise, or stored as fat cells for future use. Unfortunately, inactivity means that these stored fat cells accumulate. The result is weight gain. Phaseolamin , an exclusive, all-natural nutritional ingredient extracted from white kidney beans, " neutralizes " the digestive enzyme alpha amylase before it can convert starch into glucose and then fat. Essentially, it allows the carbohydrates to pass through the system possibly with less caloric intake. When should I take it? Recent research has shown the optimum time to take Phaseolamin is just before a starch-rich meal along with 8 oz of water. However, the studies also showed that Phaseolamin could still provide some of its starch " neutralizing " benefits when taken during, or just after, a starch-rich meal. One such study demonstrated that Phaseolamin could remain effective when a capsule is opened and sprinkled onto food. Accept no substitutes Phaseolamin is the first natural ingredient that meets these high standards of excellence through clinical research. Phaseolamin has demonstrated clinical efficacy through several recent U.S. university-based human studies. Phaseolamin has demonstrated safety through LD50 studies, the gold standard test for acute and chronic toxicity. The white kidney beans used to make Phaseolamin are non-GMO (genetically modified) while the extraction process uses purified water - no solvents!! Virtually all impurities are removed during extraction process. Clinical study November 20 - In vivo effectiveness of a starch absorption blocker in a double-blind placebo-controlled study with normal college-age subjects. Joe A. Vinson, PhD and Donna M. Shuta, BS Department of Chemistry University of Scranton Scranton, PA 18510 Inhibition of carbohydrate metabolism or absorption is one mechanism to reduce hyperglycemia in normal and especially in diabetic subjects. Another possible benefit is the decrease in calorie intake after eating carbohydrates for obesity and weight loss. In the 1980's there were several reports of in vitro and in vivo effectiveness of a natural starch blocker that worked by inactivating the enzyme amylase. We investigated this hypothesis with an initial pilot study. After this initial study with subjects who were physically active during the study, we did a second study to confirm the results. In this second study, again there was a double-blind placebo-controlled crossover trial with ten subjects (five males and five females aged 21 to 27) who participated with informed consent. After an overnight fast the subjects appeared in the morning and were given in a random fashion either 1) placebo consisting of 4 slices of white bread (60 g of carbohydrate), 42 g of soybean oil margarine, and 4 g of Sweet N'Low; 2) experimental comprising the control plus 1.5 g of Phaseolamin (Pharmachem Laboratories). The subjects rested between blood drawings. Plasma glucose was measured from blood sample drawn at baseline and every 15 minutes for 1 hour, then every 20 minutes for the second hour. Two subjects did not complete the study and 4 subjects were poor/non-absorbers as the area under the glucose-time curve was negative. Therefore the data of the remaining 4 subjects was used. As expected the control bread produced an increase in glucose in the normal subjects that reached a broad peak after 45 minutes. The peak glucose for the Phaseolamin group occurred at 30 minutes. This dose of Phaseolamin produced a smaller increase than the control from 15 to 80 minutes, with an almost significant difference (p < 0.1) at 45 and 60 minutes. The glucose cleared from the plasma about 30 minutes earlier with the Phaseolamin?compared to the control. The area under the plasma glucose-time curve (a measure of glucose absorption and metabolism) was 85% lower with the Phaseolamin , p < 0.05. Thus only 15% of the glucose in the bread compared to the control found its way into the body in the presence of Phaseolamin . These results show the effectiveness of the product in decreasing the absorption of glucose from complex carbohydrates from this group of subjects. Please visit here for more information on Peat bath, i use it for my patients here and the results are really promising. http://globalvision-mlm.com/en_spa_medical_history.asp Be Well, Dr. Khaled A.. <Rabbitbrain wrote: Thank you for the briefing. Guest guest
> White kidney bean supplement will not reduce the absorption of nutrients it will only decrease the absorption of glucose, so i hope it proves to be good for you. That thought did cross my mind when I read it, so since I already have blood sugar issues I would tend to pass and stick with the diet which has worked. I have never done well with grains and legumes so I wasn't going to chance it. It might, however, work very well for someone else. Guest guest
dry eyes are a pretty standard symptom for liver heat and upper jiao heat. check the web site www.acuxo.com and you may want to look at the points on meridians on the head near the eye, for the related list of symptoms. i think that the stomach and liver meridians also have a bunch of points that relate to this symptom. i think that if you are being treated for pain near the ribs, the symptom of dry eyes is being treated at the same time. <Rabbitbrain wrote:Jamie, I have enjoyed reading the page you sent.
