HI , I was going through some older posts (now that I am on vacation and have

time to read ;-) ) and found a question about TCM properties of lavender.

I came across this webpage

http://www.yinessence.com/articles/article/758758/6203.htm which has the TCM

properties of several common oils. It looks like it is based on just one

doctor's experience, but might be worth considering.

Here's what it said about lavender:

Lavender: Calms the spirit. Tonifies Heart Blood and Liver Yin. Moves Liver Qi.

Generates flesh. Good for insomnia and skin problems.

Dr. Dietrich Gumbel's book, Principles of Holistic Therapy using Herbal

Essences, give detailed physiological information about the activity of

lavender on the liver, from the perspective of a biologist.
