Guest guest
What are check ups that relate to TCM. In western medicine a check up often happens for symptoms that have made themselves evident. This may be cancers or other problems. In TCM the culturegroup is encouraged to see the doctor even when they have no apparent symptoms. What are some check up treatments we can recommend? How about meridian diagnosis by testing points? Salves or balms in the ear for dryness? (banana, aloe cream) small paintbrush application? Hand knuckle points Some doctors in TCM have sticks or rocks that they use for treatment. This is good for multiple points on the urinary bladder for instance. Find a stick with the triple branch on one side and trim. Lean your patient up against a wall with the stick placed so the patient leaning against it stimulates the area. How about stepping on a stone for K1 and also sitting on a stone for C1. These treatment techniques can be done at home to stimulate areas that need attention. Check ups for TCM when there seems to be no need can help stop problems before they become evident. My note: This particular treatment can be dangerous, especially if the person suffers from dizziness, fainting, or clumsiness. a sharp stick can puncture the skin and penetrate into the body if someone slips and falls onto it. Guest guest
Chinese healing techniques have early roots in study before needles. Treatments were identifying healing areas and massage was probably used. How about some specific point stimulation using a stick or dowel. Arm/leg technique would be used with a sticks end at each point, like a San Jiao or Large Intestine point linked to a liver or kidney point. The duration of these treatments would vary. Also possible is two points on the leg treated simultaneously by use of a stick being held between the legs.
