Guest guest
Not likely - otherwise the public would be noticing it! More people die of hernias and peptic ulcers than flu! (Tony - please look after that hernia!)This is such an excellent article and it shows the CDC (and other organisations) up to be the biggest tellers of porkies - anything to feed the fear and keep the dollars rolling in. Purveyors of terminological inexactitudes was the polite term that I think Sir Winston Churchill used.Mara http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124217724145913411.html#mod=rss_US_News

Guest guest
, If the hernia becomes incarcerated or strangulated and unable to be reduced (pushed back in) there can be major complications and possible death. Guest guest
Oh geez.......... Actually, we found out he has a double hernia and he is looking for options on how to treat it. It is Stage 2. Mara, do you have any links that you could refer me to? Also, are there any cures other than surgery? Uniquity gave Tony a bunch of suggestions on another forum which he is following, but I truly need to know if surgery is the only option for total healing. This news is very disconcerting and he has to get well. Guest guest
This number looks correct based on the data (annul flu death rate) posted in a recent John Barron's newsletter. Guest guest
Americans may not be aware that even the British Medical Journal castigated the CDC for their inflated flu figures. Much as I like some of what Jon Barron writes, if he cites the CDC figures, part of which are extrapolation, then any premise based on their figures will be inaccurate. Did you read the WSJ article? It sheds a lot of light.
