Guest guest
Tony, I am wondering why kimchi was on your list of things to avoid for swine flu protection and healing? Lactofermented products such as kimchi, kombucha, and unpasteurized sauerkraut are wonderfully protective against flus and viruses. They dissolve the outer membrane of the virus. I've avoided many flu bouts and colds that the family and friends endured by tanking up on these substances. Blessing, Jill~
Guest guest
Actually what I wrote was that PubMed advised that you may want to avoid Kimchi and other items on the list which increase cyytokines TNF-a and IL-6 in the event of the AVIAN FLU, not the Swine Flu. The reason is that the HN51 avian flu will likely result in an over release of cytokines due to a flu the body has no natural antibodies for. That is what happened during the Spanish Flu pandemic (another avian flu which people had no antibodies for) with the result that the most robust people with the healthiest natural immune systems had even higher death rates than the rest of the population due to their own immune systems eating their lungs up from all the cytokines. That is why I recommend strongly that a person take anti-virals and immune modulators along with immune boosters. oleander soup , "lillisilly" <evangelnet wrote:>> Tony, I am wondering why kimchi was on your list of things to avoid for swine flu protection and healing?> > Lactofermented products such as kimchi, kombucha, and unpasteurized sauerkraut are wonderfully protective against flus and viruses. Guest guest
Thanks, Tony. I guess I am wondering if you agree or disagree with what PubMed said? I thought you posted that as a guideline for us... I first heard of kimchi several years ago when I read a blurb on msn about how birds with the bird flu that ate kimchi recovered. And how it protected people from the bird flu. Reading that actually started my Odyssey into the wonders of food as medicine. I have experienced amazing benefits from kimchi, kombucha and kefir.
