Mala,

Did the doctor say why your sister's lungs are swelling? Has the cancer gone to the lungs? Is it related to the cancer, or could there be another reason? And what reason did he give for not being able to do anything?

Could she possibly have fluid in her lungs?

Mala,

How is your sister today? Okay....... she has a cold. That means that she is possibly congested. Tell me, is she having trouble breathing? Are her ankles or legs swollen? If you press your finger to her ankle, does it leave a white mark? If any of these occur, it is a sign of fluid retention. On the chance that this swelling is due to fluid in her lungs, give her parsley tea. This is an excellent natural diuretic. Take two teaspoons of dried leaves for each cup of boiling water and seep for ten minutes. Have her drink three cups a day.

Keep me posted mala, my prayers are with you.

Hi Leulla,

Thanks for the tip about parsley tea. My partner is also dealing with fluid on

the lung.

I had a look on the Internet, and couldn't find any mention of parsley being

used specifically for this purpose. Do you know where the suggestion originated?

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Frankly, no, I have no idea where it originated. I do know that it is effective. Try it out on your partner and let me know the progress. Also, you do know that lying with your legs raised also helps, and so does exercise. If you have access to a pool, water exercises are great. Nothing strenuous. I used to bring my mom to the YWCA for water exercises three times a week.

Warm regards,

moliver70 <moliver70Hi Martin, I hope you don't mind me adding to this thread. I wanted to suggest 2 herbs that would be much stronger at balancing the fluid in the lungs; I would highly recommend Elecampane and Pleurisy Root. Parsley is a mild diuretic, but is not really strong enough to affect the lungs. It would be more for

swelling in the hands or feet. Both herbs should be used in a tincture form, as a tincture is always the strongest. And you would want the root part of the plant for both of those. If you have any more questions about either of them, please just ask me. With blessings of health & happiness,Lyne
