Guest guest
Hi everyone,We did it! No abx! Thanks to the encouragement of this list, I dug a little deeper on google to investigate meg dosing vit C, and healing crises. I found some great information, here: http://www.philipincao.com/ scroll down for the articles and on shirleyswellnesscafe.com under healing crises as well as vitamin c dosing on http://www.doctoryourself.com/ortho_c.html. Based on the research I gained confidence that we could tackle this naturally and we did, but it took a month. She went from a kid with such swollen glands that she could not speak or eat to today - lump free and back to normal. The mega doses of vitamin C led me down a fascinating path as they described on the above website. For nearly the whole month she required about 20 - 25 grams of vitamin C until just about 5 days ago it dropped dramatically to 6, then 4 now 2 grams. We did a very aggressive protocol of homeopathic sulphur (which really brought out some blisters on the back of her throat), dry skin lymph brushing, castor oil neck packs, gargling with colloidal silver, 6 drops oil of oregano/day internally and a few drops externally on the nodes. Never did we have so much compost - she consumed nothing but organic juice and raw vegetables with raw garlic (thankfully she likes raw garlic). I noticed some 'bumps' in her improvement with the dry skin brushing and when we introduced wheat grass smoothies. Early bedtimes every night, acidophilous, echinacea and cayenne tincture, cleavers combo, and the kitchen sink! Kudos to my daughter who stuck with me and insisted - no drugs mommy! We used the experience as a living biology lesson, which is good, because we homeschool. We got out the anatomy books and looked up the map of the lymph system and read about how abx push the infection deeper into the body. Thanks to everyone who offered their suggestions and support. More importantly I want to emphasize that apart from the support, the knowledge of some folks on this list gave me a new set of terms to look up on google, just when I thought I had read everything! This is why I cherish this list so much.Janet-- " The need for peace and understanding between the peoples of the world has never been as great as now. Guest guest
Janet, I am not trying to be a nay-sayer here---I am all about natural alternative cures. But strep will ordinarily run it's course in 7 to 21 days. It is not as if it won't go away without antibiotics. However, I am sure that all you did for your daughter was only good and bolstered her immune system wonderfully. Blessings, Jill~
Guest guest
Hi Jill,I read that, too, which is why I emailed the group in a bit of a panic recently - she was sick for a LOT longer. When I wrote that it took a month to heal, I started counting from when I began the protocol. Took her to the clinic where they misdiagnosed her twice. She probably had strep in conjunction with something else or a few things - this was no run of the mill strep. Also, we had suffered and continue to endure great stress which we are trying to manage as best we can as a family. We consider beating this strep throat as a major accomplishment.Janet

Guest guest
That is great news! I bet it was a positive experience for all of you and am impressed with your daughters conviction too. My oldest complains just about the fruit I make her eat never mind raw garlic and everything else you gave yours! Nelly oleander soup , lostrin <lostrin wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > We did it!
