Need from Tony-Oleander and Radiation

I talked to my Oncologist/Hematologist today and he OK'd your protocol with

respect to NAV, OPC, Curcumin and Black Seed Oil. He said the OPC " sounds

good " .

But he is concerned about a statement from your web site respect to radiation:

OLEANDER DOES POTENTIATE CHEMO AND RADIATION AND WHEN USED AS A CAM THERAPY

ALONG WITH EITHER ONE IT ELIMINATES OR GREATLY LESSENS ALL KNOWN SIDE EFFECTS OF

CHEMO AND LESSENS THOSE OF RADIATION...........

He was concerned about the " POTENTIATE RADIATION " part of your statement. I

take your use of that word potentiate " to mean it " improves " or " makes more

potent " . Instead, he felt that it might mean " make more powerful " as in more

powerful radiation. Since the radiation is set at the highest level it can be

with minimum damage he is concerned that more POWER will not be what the

radiologist wants.... will definitely cause damage.

He has OK'd it as far as chemo is concerned but he wants me to run it by the

radiation oncologist. If she turns it down I will not be able to take it at all

during therapy.

I am taking radiation and chem concurrently as part of a new clinical trial.

Can you clear this up please?

Gratefully,

Dave

First of all, I personally would let natural healing have a chance before resorting to mainstream methods unless there were really compelling reasons. But if you are determined to go that route, count your lucky stars that your oncologist agrees with ANY alternative complimentary measures.

At any rate, you and your doctors should rest easy regarding oleander and chemo or radiation. What the statement in my book meant was that oleander increases the EFFECTIVENESS of chemo and radiation and protects against some of the damage they cause. In no way does oleander increases the AMOUNT of radiation or the damaging effects on normal cells.

In many instances, mainstream and/or integrative doctors actually lessen the amount of intended chemo and/or radiation due to the potentiation of their effectiveness by oleander - thus getting at least as much benefit with considerably less collateral damage.

I am not a technical nor medical expert and it would be best for your doctor to consult with someone familiar with professional medical use of oleander before adjusting doses and amounts downward. A good start might be the Salud Integral Clinic in Honduras where the patented medicine version of oleander, Anvirzel, is made:

http://www.saludintegral.hn

That facility is now owned and operated by Nerium Biotechnology out of Canada which is headed up by Dennis Knocke and which was spun off from Phoenix Biotech out of San Antonio (headed up by Crandell Addington). The doctor most familiar with oleander at MD Anderson is lead researcher Dr. Robert E. Newman.

I do not have those numbers readily available, but the people at Salud Integral should be able to point you in the right direction.

All the best,
