Guest guest
A while back, it was stated in this list that turmeric doesn't need pepper or the bioperine component of pepper to be absorbed. I just came across this reference that says that pepper is indeed required. Guest guest
Hi Rhoda, Curcumin (tumeric) is difficult to absorb. While piperine (pepper) is helpful it can be very hard on the stomach. A much better vehicle to get absorbtion is omega 3 oil...... Some of us mix curcumin into the Flax Oil CC mix of our budwig. Others use coconut oil. Seems curcumin will dissolve and absorb using most any omega 3 oil you choose..... Hemp oil for example.... All of these vehicles are much less distressing to the stomach than piperine..... and it seems most all of us need extra omega 3's .... Guest guest
Piperine does appear to help when it comes to absorbing curcumin, as does coconut oil and possibly other omega-3 oils, however the increase from any of them is not all that great from what I have read. Much better in my opinion would be the Super-Bio Curcumin from Life Extension Foundation or the curcumin product at turmeric-curcumin.com oleander soup , "Del at Dri-Wash" <del wrote:>> Hi Rhoda,> > Curcumin (tumeric) is difficult to absorb.
