Guest guest
, stranger things have happened than an email diagnosis. We are curing all kinds of ills!Where exactly was this pop? Okay....... For the last few days, sort of on the right hand side middle of my stomach it feels like all of a sudden a muscle bunches up. And I feel it. Like a ball. Kind of like........ Well, have you ever seen the movie " Alien? " It is excrutiatingly painful, and then it goes away, muscle flattens, and I feel relief. Aaaaaaaah!!!!!!!! Is this it, or am I having some kind of funny muscle cramp? If it's a muscle cramp, massage and either cold or heat could help. I would try this first. My hiatal hernia came and went. So it could also be a hernia. Lie on your back, knees bent. Put one fist over the other and press down very firmly over the ball of pain. If you feel it go IN, it may well be a hernia. If it feels like a hernia, a wide ace bandage with a soft ball inside will slowly cure it. Let us know if either helps, if both do, or neither. My first experience with body mechanics was with a daughter who was born with her feet toeing in so bad she couldn't learn to walk. My husband was working for a VA hospital that was making prosthetics for thalimomide babies then. They exrayed her, and kindly made a metal plate into which we were to strap her shoes and feet every night, and slowly change the angle. Torture! Of course, none of us slept for a week, until we threw the dang contraption out. I told my mother-in-law over the phone about her granddaughter's misery. My mom-in-law called her chiropractor who told her to tell me to check my daughter's hip sockets. AHA! I could see that my child's HIPS turned in. so every time I changed her diapers, I gently played leg extension games. She was walking normally within a month. Neither her pediatrician nor the specialists saw that it was a hip problem, not a foot problem! Diagnosed and cured over the phone! Since then, I've found several 'miraculous' simple mechanical cures for others as well as myself. Rhoda
Guest guest
Thank you Rhoda, I will try both. I have felt the muscle or whatever it is in the last couple of days, but it has not been as pronounced as it was before. I will keep an eye on it and follow your suggestions. Thank you for sharing your daughter's story. Just another example where doctors don't have a clue. Thank goodness you interceded. I cannot imagine the suffering she would have otherwise endured. I have seen children with the metal plate you described, although not recently. If I ever do again, I will make sure to pass on this information to the parents.
