Guest guest
According to the tracking number, my Sutherlandia order is just SITTING in NYC for no apparent reason. It was received in NYC at noon on April 2nd. Here it is the 7th, and it has not left NYC! Why is this occurring? Customs? Of course this has NOTHING to do with Marc's efficiency -- he shipped very quickly upon receiving my order. So what the heck is going on with the USPS??? Guest guest
I have had a few cases like that but, eventually, it gets delivered with no explanation. If you phone USPS with the tracking number, they will tell you they have no idea where it is. You just have to be patient. Postal services are the same all over the world. Guest guest
I've had the same experience with things I order from the US - it sits in Toronto for up to 2 weeks rotting on a shelf. I live 90 minutes away and I have to wait until it clears customs.Janet
Guest guest
I lived in Canada for 4 years, and our mail averaged between 5 days and 5 weeks (!!!!) to get to us. Sometimes things were just seized and held for no good reason for over a month. I had a pair of UGG boots held for 6 weeks! But at the time, Canada and the Bush regime were pretty hostile towards each other, so I think it was a part of a harrassment routine going on against US mail -- for what? Maybe because of restrictions on lumber imports to the US or some other ridiculous thing. oleander soup , lostrin <lostrin wrote: > > I've had the same experience with things I order from the US - it sits in > Toronto for up to 2 weeks rotting on a shelf. Guest guest
It has happened with me here in India also. When I order through USPS it is always delayed upto one month or more after the package reached the country. It doesn't happen with Royal mail,UPS or Fedex. It strange with USPS.I thought it happened only to me.Oh well, now I understand it is common in other countries too.It sometimes scary to think if the package lost on the way..but now I am used to it. Guest guest
This is from a lady I know, that lives in San Marcos, which is between San Antonio and Austin, about getting a package the other day: I had something shipped UPS from Walter T Kelley last week. The package started out from their warehouse in Clarkson KY. Went to Bowling Green KY (checked in and out of their facility). Then to Nashville, TN (again in and out) . Then on to Memphis, TN (again in and out) . Then traveled to Mesquite, TX (yep you guessed it checked in and out again) and then to Austin (once more checked in and out). Instead of coming to me from Austin, (or coming from Austin to San Marcos UPS building) (Renee--San Marcos is only about 20 minutes from Austin) they drove the package right down I-35 to spend the weekend in San Antonio. Then on Monday morning they drove the package back up I-35 (again right past my house) and took it to the UPS facility here in San Marcos and finally on a truck to bring it to me on Monday. This package drove all over 3 states and was handled by who knows how many people. It is no wonder that shipping is so expensive. I now that FED EX is no better. Last week someone sent me a package overnight Fed Ex from San Antonio. It first had to go to Houston, then Austin and then to San Marcos. It is mind boggling.
