I am currently taking " Iosol " which is ammonium iodide. They say this is a

water soluable version of elemental iodine. (Only). I am taking about 26 mg a

day, building up.

From what I have read, it looks like I need potassium iodide too?

Is anyone familiar with this product? (Iosol) If so, what do you think of it?

P.S. -- I don't know if this applies only to Iosol or possibly to other iodine

solutions, but if I mix the iodine in with a small amount of tea (green tea

and/or chai tea -- like 1/4 cup) it completely masks the taste of the iodine.

This was a list I compiled trying to sort this out. You are taking something else?

One needs to obtain:

(1) I2 which stands for elemental Iodine

at a minim dosage of ? and up to 300 mg (maximum)

(drops mixed with water every 2 hours?)

(2) KI which is another product one needs to buy -- this is potassium iodide?

and is to be taken with the I2 -- dosage? Where to purchase? and can you take the

two of them at the same time? and/or

(3) saturated solution of potassium iodide

dosage? how many times per day (do you still need to take the I2?)

(4) selenomethionine at 800mcg

(5) magnascent - dosage?

Can all of this be taken at the same time?

where does one purchase the magnascent?I also wish to know if these are the best ones to take and where to purchase.--- On Tue, 4/7/09, jrrjim <jim.mcelroy10 wrote:

i remember looking at and dismissing iosol with my partners at the iosup forum

on curezone, but i dont remember why it didnt make the cut. for the first year

we focused solely on lugols per the iodine project. i even dismissed the

detoxified and magnascent tinctures as not being strong enough to be cost

effective. john was smart and sent me magnascent to try. twice before i

actually tried it!!!! it is very good.

yes, i would say the first year or two that both forms should be taken. it can

take up to three years to get fully/sufficiently iodinated. others need only

about three months. just about any form can handle maintenance. different

conditions, internally and externally, and gender and other factors can effect

all of this.

gee, i havent even covered the problems with uptake and utilization that can

occur and what companion supplements fix what. basically, one should take 3

grams of vitamin C and some b2 and b3 for about two weeks before starting and

that will cover most bases. but thats in a perfect world which this is not. i

would not lose that time with cancer but instead jump right in.

what matters is what works. we know lugols works.
