Guest guest
What is SSKI? What is Magnasent iodine? I have been taking lugol's solution and am planning to do heavy metal detoxing due to high lead. Do I need the other two? Helen
Guest guest
lugols is a fine supplement. the others are a better and more for advanced users. if lugols is working for you then stick with it. you do need to take selenomethionine, though. 800mcg per day with your meals. you can take it all at once or divide it up. i take my 800 all at once with my meal for the day. how did you get lead? how do you know its lead? if so, add 3-30 grams of ascorbic acid per day. i like and use sodium ascorbate, but others will work. definitely add selenomethionine to your regimen. oleander soup , Helen Wang <dingyung49 wrote: > > > What is SSKI? Guest guest
I take lugol 5-6 drops a day just for general health.. No idea whats working for me or not. I have hypothyroid(very low FT3) Doctor gave me script of armour one gram a day. Do you think iodine will help my thyroid. I have 200 mcg methylselenocysteine. Is this the same as you mentioned? Why we have to take it when taking iodine? Through urine test doctor found out I have very high lead. no idea how I have such high lead level. I am suppose to take DMSA. I have not filled the script yet. . Guest guest
Thanks so much for coming over to help our group with their iodine questions my friend. I take a dropper full of your SSKI every morning in my juice. I have not been taking I2 (other than what might be found in the trace minerals I often take and the sea salt I use instead of table salt) though I know I should, and NOW I know that whatever I2 I take should be taken without juice (yecch!) BTW, if you get a chance you might want to look up the methylselenocysteine form of selenium. From what I have read, that is the best form of selenium to take for cancer - amd what I would take if I had cancer, though selenomethionine might be the best every day choice. oleander soup , "iodinetime" <trapperkcmo wrote:>> lugols is a fine supplement. the others are a better and more for advanced users. if lugols is working for you then stick with it. you do need to take selenomethionine, though. 800mcg per day with your meals. you can take it all at once or divide it up. i take my 800 all at once with my meal for the day.> > how did you get lead? how do you know its lead? if so, add 3-30 grams of ascorbic acid per day. i like and use sodium ascorbate, but others will work.> > definitely add selenomethionine to your regimen.> > > oleander soup , Helen Wang dingyung49@ wrote:> >> > > > What is SSKI? Guest guest
hi tony, it is a pleasure to be here. i hope i dont get too swamped. my heart is at curezone. our iodine forum has almost 8 million hits in a little over two years. wow. i just answered the selenium question. several people have emailed me already. i hope you dont mind that i invite everyone to look at the FAQ on that forum. tons of info. dr brownsteins book is a good primer. the optimox corporation has loads of papers published by dr guy abraham, head surgeon professor at berkely for 8 years and head of the iodine project along with others. i wish iodine was easy. i am working on a formula which is more suitable than lugols for a wider range of supplementers. the main thing is to get started, no matter what is available to you. get a bottle of magnascent and make a shot of a couple of drops in water to slam first thing in the morning. by the time you comb your teeth and brush your hair youll be ready for your KI and juice. hey, i could write lyrics tot he snoop dog song gin and juice and call it KI and juice. then again, maybe not. oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > > Thanks so much for coming over to help our group with their iodine > questions my friend. > > I take a dropper full of your SSKI every morning in my juice. Guest guest
hello again. selenomethionine is THE form according to all my best info and what i take. it protects the thyroid, among other things. get the dmsa. great stuff. too bad it went prescription. greed knows no bounds. it sounds like you are not uptaking the iodine properly. this can be fixed in one of two ways. the bewst way is t up the dose. you should double what you are taking. be prepared to be HYPERthyroid when this happens. just cut back on the armour in that case. with thyroid problems, about one third of the people need no change in their thyroid meds, one third must reduce their dose and the last third are able to get off the meds altogether. best to you. oleander soup , Helen Wang <dingyung49 wrote: > > I take lugol 5-6 drops a day just for general health.. Guest guest
I have treated 5 hypothyroid patients on Magnascent iodine alone and all of their thyroid profile T3,T4 and TSH has returned normal limits in 2-3 months. These patients were on Thyroxine earlier and now all normal without Thyroxine.Important to note is these patients never had normal TSH even with Thyroxine.Even after advising maintenence dose, many didn't do that but still their thyroid profile is normal. We are taking up 100 hypothyroid cases and would like to do more studies with Magnascent iodine. It is an excellent product.
