hello,

i am trapper and i teach about iodine on curezone.

i dont get into the technical side of things so much as i use my own self

experimentation and the results i have seen in others to back up what i know.

a couple of quick points.

iodine is a necessary nutrient for a variety of functions in the body. we all

know it is used by the thyroid and prevents goiter. that is only the tip of the

iceberg.

iodine is required for natural cell apoptosis to take place. this is also

called cell death. that would be the opposite of cancer - a natural lived cell.

or, as dr brownstein of the iodine project says, " lack of iodine in the body

promotes cancer. "

i noticed some talk of enzymes. iodine is essential in 87 different enzymatic

processes in the body.

the total body burden of iodine is not in the 100mg range as was previously

taught by allopathy. it is actually about 1500mg, 20% of which is stored in

the skin, your boy's first line of defense from environmental factors.

there is also a lot of talk about hormones and cancer. iodine must be present

at every hormone receptor in the body. iodine has a balancing effect on

hormone production through increased ability to utilize them. this includes the

fat soluble vitamins like A and D.

women need more iodine than men. the darker the skin the more iodine is needed.

i believe hormonal cancers like breast and prostate are direct symptoms of

iodine deficiency.

the great difficulty in supplementing iodine is halogen imbalance. this means

that the lighter halogens, fluorine, chlorine and bromine, have displaced iodine

and the body is stuck using the other halogens to make essential molecules(like

thyroxin) which do not function properly.

the body needs two forms of iodine - the elemental form as found in magnascent

iodine(my favorite I2) and the salt form called iodide.

let me know how i can be of further assistance.
