Guest guest
Hello Lisa,We used 4 drops of oregano oil mixed in with a dessert spoon of raw manuka honey. That way we could dribble a little onto his tongue in the middle of a seizure - they are not grand mal so there was no risk of choking him. The oil is pretty potent though - he used to joke that he smelled like a pizza for the rest of the day. He has only had 2 grand mal in his life, the first followed the DPT vaccine.Nowadays, if he mistakenly eats sugar, preservatives, gluten or casein etc, etc we give him 2 oregano capsules with water, morning and evening until the twitching of his jaw and occasional lurching of his limbs stops and he loses the haggard, dehydrated look. I have since heard that other mothers use it as a first aid for seizures when their autistic children eat the wrong foods. We also need to feed him slippery elm food for a while to help heal any gut damage. We haven't entirely wrapped him in cotton wool, so when he recently went out to dinner with friends, he had a gravy that had wheat in it. That was 6 days ago and he was still having small episodes last night. He is intellectually impaired due to vaccine injury, but generally does a really good job of choosing OK foods.Magnesium and B6 help.If you can find lobelia inflata and make a tincture, that may help. My aunt used it for my uncle's seizures in the same as your circumstances. She successfully used shark liver oil too, directly from a fisherman. This seemed to be the thing that reversed the cancer. She combined elements of Budwig and Gerson with her own past experience, whatever was convenient and available. She also gave him melatonin as it increases GABA in the hypothalamus by up to 50%. Inositol and B3 are GABA co factors. (GABA helps prevent seizures, as an inhibitory neurotransmitter. DMSO helps to deliver GABA across the blood/brain barrier if you take GABA orally, hence her trying to increase GABA levels in other ways.) The herb valerian slows down the breakdown of GABA so that might be useful. Tony's herbalist might be able to help there. A food source is reishi mushrooms. All best wishes and love to you,Mara--- On Wed, 3/25/09, Lisa Tovar <tov_legsec wrote:Lisa Tovar <tov_legsecRe: Infected nail, & another question.oleander soup Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2009, 11:29 AM Would you please describe how you use the Oregano Oil for seizures. I would much appreciate that information, my husband has brain cancer, and we are trying to avoid steroids for seizures/edema. I would greatly appreciate this information. Guest guest
Thank you Mara, we will utilize these items listed right away. The only thing I'm really missing is the Oregano Oil. Blessings.
