Someone was suffering from psoriasis a while ago and had relief from topical coconut oil. Just to let you know that I alternate with other oils, as I sometimes seem to become sensitive to any that are used for a while. (Eczema in my case.) Another that is really good is sea buckthorn oil. It isn't grown here so I buy it from a place in OR.It does stain orange, so I smother myself in it, climb into cotton pyjamas, and cover my pillow with a thick dark-coloured towel! Also I refrain from looking in the mirror, as the result is quite scary, like the worst ever fake suntan I have ever seen. By morning, there is only pale staining of the skin, and it has all gone from my face. Maracuja

Have you tried any of these?

l Add one teaspoon camphor to one teaspoon sandalwood paste and apply on the affected eczema areas.

l Rub a nutmeg against a smooth stone slab with a little water and make a paste. Apply to affected eczema area.

l Pine tar soap. Go to the local herb store and ask for pine tar soap. Wash with it every night and it often clears up the eczema in about a week. Plus it smells great, unlike other some other medicines.

l Noxema. Eczema is what it was originally made for, hence the name Noxema (no eczema). Remember to use the original Noxema, not the new and improved stuff.

l Green tea, lemon juice, rosemary, olive oil & water. Make the green tea as normal, but make it strong. Add three tablespoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon ground rosemary, one teaspoon olive oil to one cup of green tea. Let this cool (not cold, just room temperature). Bath skin with this using a 100% cotton wash cloth.

I'm allergic to pine so I'll give that one a miss. I'll start working through that list. A friend sent me a link for LED light bulbs as I think that the new bulbs being forced on us worldwide are contributing to the eczema intractability. Now I read that photodermatologists are saying that people who are sensitive to the toxic lights should be allowed exemptions. EXEMPTIONS!!!!???? (Insert Anglo-Saxon cuss words here!) Chance will be a fine thing. Thanks so much for the list. --- On Sun, 3/15/09, Tony wrote:Tony Re: Psoriasis/eczema reliefoleander soup Date: Sunday, March 15, 2009, 7:23 AM

I recently wrote a blog about all the health benefits,

especially for the skin, of sea buckthorn oil.

http://www.oasisadvancedwellness.com/health-articles/2009/02/nutritional-powerhouse-sea-buckthorn.html

I have also just finished formulating a vaginal dryness cream, Her Oasis,

that contains sea buckthorn oil. I formulated it so that there is enough

for therapeutic value but when mixed with the rest of the cream will not stain.

We are sending out free bottles for the cost of postage and also a testimony.

HiI can add that removal of all sugars, alcohol  and yeasts with a 70% raw food diet can cure the problem, for fast relief, cover the affected parts with petroleum jelly for days - it 'starves'it and clears the skin but only temporarily as sugar in the diet  is the usual cultprit - also bathing the skin with very dilute hydrogen peroxide can help but not where there is broken skin HTH

Honey is also very effective. In fact, I would substitute the honey for the petroleum jelly.oleander soup , katbarker katbarker <katbarker.katbarker wrote:>> Hi> > I can add that removal of all sugars, alcohol and yeasts with a 70% raw> food diet can cure the problem, for fast relief, cover the affected parts> with petroleum jelly for days - it 'starves'it and clears the skin but only> temporarily as sugar in the diet is the usual cultprit - also bathing the> skin with very dilute hydrogen peroxide can help but not where there is> broken skin HTH> > > > > On Sun, Mar 15, 2009 at 7:16 AM, Dr. Loretta Lanphier <> drlanphier wrote:> > > I recently wrote a blog about all the health benefits, especially for> > the skin, of sea buckthorn oil.> >> >> >> > http://www.oasisadvancedwellness.com/health-articles/2009/02/nutritional-powerhouse-sea-buckthorn.html> >> > I have also just finished formulating a vaginal dryness cream, *Her Oasis*,> > that contains sea buckthorn oil. Thanks so much for that. I was poisoned with aerial spray and have used the homoeopathic Btk but I can't get a remedy for the Foray48B which had wetting and sticking agents, and probably the equivalent of vaccine adjuvants. Although out govt deemed it OK to spray us, they did not deem it necessary to tell us what was in the spray! A trade secret - rotten "bathplugs"!Our local medical officer of Health (serious misnomer!) let it slip that it contained soy and wheat! It's coming from the inside. I get deep bubbles in my skin that look like sago. They break and weep and itch. Sometimes they infect. When I get the infected exudate tested, it is always light normal skin flora! An infuriating mystery! Topical products soothe but don't seem to cure. I am off wheat & dairy and have a mostly raw diet à la Ross Horne. I

juice a lot. I was really wicked recently though, and had smoked trout! No deterioration, yet it had raw manuka honey and herbs!Have done various detox regimens and liver cleanses. Things are getting better, I was able to wear shoes for a short time this week. Perhaps I will have warm feet this coming winter! I can bend my legs to sit now. Have never tried petroleum jelly - it never seemed like a healthful thing to put on the skin. Have used neem oil, thick and stinky! Used all sorts of herbal ointments - put chickweed & aloe in the blender and use that to soothe. Also use H2O2 to cleanse. Perhaps I had better do the petroleum jelly. People used to put it on baby bottoms 35 years ago. I used to use zinc and castor oil for the one child who had a diaper rash. Thanks again.Maracuja--- On Sun, 3/15/09, katbarker katbarker <katbarker.katbarker wrote:katbarker katbarker <katbarker.katbarkerRe: Psoriasis/eczema reliefoleander soup Date: Sunday, March 15, 2009, 12:45 PM

Thanks . I use manuka honey when it's infected and it can clear it very quickly. I've never used it over the entire eczematous area. I'd be so afraid that the local ant colonies would find me in the night! One toenail has a whitlow though, which I am unable to relieve. I soak it in MgCl and hot water to help open it, but it's just as bad next day, then H2O2, then a honey dressing. I will not do antibiotics, especially as the lab results are always normal. Any ideas?Love, Mara--- On Sun, 3/15/09, May <luellamay129 wrote: May <luellamay129 Re: Psoriasis/eczema

Yes please! Thank you so much. I'll get some oil in the morning! I've been looking after DGS who will be 2 in a couple of days. Yes, thank you! I have home-made silver for topical use. The reason I have soaked it in hot water and magnesium flakes is because it seems to force the exudate out from under the nail. Such a relief, but I can't get the silver in under the nail. As soon as the exudate is out, the exit seems to close. As the heat seems to be what opens it, would it be OK to use silver and hot water as a soak? I don't really understand what is happening - there is obviously some bug (still unidentified) there trying to do it's clean up job on those sago-like bubbles under the nail. Yet I cut a finger quite deeply 3 days ago and used steri-strips to hold the wound together. I washed it with silver, didn't use cayenne as the wound stopped bleeding as soon as the edges were pulled together. It is

holding its own - the strips came off this morning and there is a nice straight clean wound - no pain.Despite not being able to cover it, as I'm now allergic to sticking plaster adhesive, there is absolutely no sign of infection! I was processing apples ready for juicing at the time, so perhaps there is something in apples that has a disinfectant quality. So....a foot bath of apple juice???? Hi Mara,

I would also put colloidal silver on the infected area.

Love to you too......

Hi Mara,

How is your toenail? Sorry for the tardy response but my computer is DOWN. Monitor stopped working so must wait until the new monitor arrives before I am online more often.

You could soak it in colloidal silver. Not sure I would mix is with water though. Just use colloidal silver and soak your toe. You may want to use ionic silver. This would work well also.

Love back,
