Are you familiar with their products, and would you recommend their oleander product as an alternative or backup to the capsules from South Africa? Their Cansema products, especially the black salve, are legendary as are the struggles of Greg and his company against the powers that be. They have saved a great many people from cancer. The product you are referring to is Cansema Tonic III and it contains: Fresh, organically grown aloe vera (as a base medium), bioenergized extracts of the following cancerolytic botanicals: oleander (Nerium oleander), graviola (Annona muricata), chapparal (Larrea mexicata), zinc chloride (5%), and "puda" (160 proof Ecuadorean sugar cane alcohol, 6%) to preserve freshness. Where did you get your information on it costing $10 a bottle? That might not even cover shipping to the U.S. The published cost on the Alpha Omega website is $59.95 for an eight ounce bottle (236.6 ml) plus shipping, which makes it more than twice the cost for equal volumes of Sutherlandia OPC extract - which comes in a 500 ml bottle (16.9 ounces) and costs $60 including shipping - and almost three times the cost of OPC capsules. It sounds like a very good deal, though I have to wonder why there is a $50 price difference between the two extracts with the only apparent difference being the addition of chaparral and a bit of zinc chloride in the more expensive version. I guess I need to talk to Greg to find out a bit more. Anyone opting for this product should note the following: Graviola Contraindications: - Not to be used during pregnancy or breast-feeding. - Graviola is contraindicated in combination with CoQ10 and other supplements which increase cellular ATP. One mechanism of action of Graviola is as an ATP-inhibitor. - Graviola has demonstrated hypotensive, vasodilator, and cardiodepressant activities in animal studies. People with low blood pressure or taking antihypertensive drugs should check with their doctors before taking Graviola and monitor their blood pressure accordingly. - One study with rats given a stem-bark extract intragastrically (at 100 mg/kg) reported an increase in dopamine, norepinephrine, and monomine oxidase activity, as well as a inhibition of serotonin release in stress-induced rats. As such, the use of this plant is probably contraindicated in combination with MAO inhibitors and some prescription antidepressants. Check with your doctor first if you are taking prescription antidepressants or MAO inhibitor drugs prior to taking Graviola.Graviola Drug Interactions: None have been reported; however: Graviola may potentiate antihypertensive and cardiac depressant drugs. It may potentiate antidepressant drugs and interfere with MAO-inhibitor drugs. See contraindications above. One product (through December 2008) is shown as being available for $9.95 However, there is also this post that I wondered about (it is the last post on the page). In this post, the poster claims that he (I suppose his company) was supplying materials to Alpha and OMega. Unfortunately, I cannot cut and paste this poster's comment into this post.
