Guest guest
Howdy one and all, Reading up on the formula for the soup I have two Q's: 1. Where can I purchase organic plants? I live in Southern Cal. I'd hate to waste my time and energy only to discover, after harvesting and making the recipe that it's polluted with insecticides. I'd rather buy organic if there is such a thing(?) 2. Can someone expound on this for me, please. The OPC formula appears to have extra added ingredients that the home brew does not or am I misunderstanding things? Thanks! MC
Guest guest
I purchased my plants for the farmer's market and repotted them with organic potting soil, using organic fertilizers and I am watering them with filtered water because I do not have access to water without chlorine or rainwater. After approx 2 months I harvested the new growth, made my first pot of soup and there was no tingling, etc. I live in FL and do not have an organic nursery down here either, but I think 2 months would be long enough to clear the plants of any residual chemicals. Marc would have the authoritive answer on this question, but the Sutherlandia OPC contains another plant known for it's cancer fighting properties, and actually makes the OPC more potent. Hopes this helps! -- In oleander soup , " mister " <mister.cee wrote: > > Howdy one and all, > > > Reading up on the formula for the soup I have two Q's: > > > 1. Where can I purchase organic plants? Guest guest
Hi MC, If no one can refer an organic nursery, I would suggest googling it. Regardless of where you get the plant from, always ask to make sure that it has not been sprayed with pesticides. The OPC formula contains another plant which is native to South Africa called Sutherlandia Frutescens. It is called the Cancer Bush and is used for treating many ailments. oleander soup , "mister" <mister.cee wrote:>> Howdy one and all, > > > Reading up on the formula for the soup I have two Q's:> > > 1. Guest guest
Hello Marc, I know you're busy so when you get the time to weigh in here, that'd be cool. I received some great help from the members here (thank you May & Suepet60) for the info dealing with buy/growing organic Oleander plants but I'm not sure about where to find the additional "cancer bush" and if there are"other ingredients as well" for adding also to the brew I'll defer to you for information and direction. I'm trying to cut costs since none of the supplements, etc., are covered by my insurance and I definitely know that the Sutherlandia OPC is a mainstay in my diet. Hope the word is spreading across the planet about your supplement! Peace and many thanks! Guest guest
Hi MC, The Sutherlandia Frutescens plant ('cancer bush') is found only in South Africa. It makes up 20% of my mixture. If you look on the internet you'll find sources in South Africa where you can buy it. The other MAJOR aspect to guard against when making your own oleander extract is fungal growth. If you don't add enough alcohol or some anti-fungal agents, fungi will start growing on the surface of the oleander extract within a few days, even if you keep it in the fridge. The fungi themselves as well as the mycotoxins they produce can be an aggravating factor in people with cancer.
