Seeing as how I have taken full doses of Sutherlandia OPC in the past

(6 capsules a day)without any problems I decided to start trying my

oleander soup at 1/2 tablespoon, which I guess is 1.5 teaspoons.

I opted for mixing my soup with organic apple vinegar rather than

vodka to avoid the alcohol. Acually what I ended up using was 20 oz

soup, 16 oz apple cider, and 4 oz vodka.

Ouch.

Nausea and indigestion for 6 hours. Nasty acid reflux type stuff

too. But no diarrhea.

I guess I'll back off, or maybe I should try on an empty stomach

instead of a full stomach and see if that makes any difference.

I guess I'm looking for feedback from other oleander soup users, both

on how I made it and on taking it.

To summarize:

1. I ended up with surprisingly little soup at a 1.08 specific

gravity -- 20 oz. And this was after boiling a 16 quart pot full of

leaves for about 6 hours before removing leaves and filtering, then

for another 2 - 3 hours after removing leaves and filtering. Per the

directions, I was expecting about 40 oz.

2. The resulting soup (mixed with mostly organic apple cider) really

clobbered my stomach when I took 1.5 teaspoons of it, which surprised

me because I had handled full doses of Sutherlandia OPC in the past

with no problems.

Oh -- I am also taking about 1800 mg of bloodroot a day, which causes

stomach problems itself, so maybe I should cut those out with the

soup? I guess it is one thing to try.

Ive made it with apple cider vinegar and collodial silver as preservatives....the apple cider vinegar brew was like paint stripper to the guts .bad idea no 1.the collodial silver clumps when put into fridge and ended up fizzing and didnt think safe to coninue ingesting.bad idea 2. So in the end I went back to using the vodka because it realy preserves it and you can keep it in the fridge indefinately. I dont like the idea of alcohol but 3/4 of a tablespoon daily for the medicine provided can be lived with i reakon....Pam NZ

Okay, well now -- this is the second confirmation I've gotten that

apple cider vinegar is NOT a good thing to use with the oleander

soup. The first confirmation came via email. Both said basically the

same thing -- apple cider vinegar with the oleander will rip up your

guts.

Yep -- that's what it has done to me. OUCH!

Next time I'll go with Wodka. Now, should I use Stolichnaya? I bet

black caviar would go good with that too -- loaded with omega 3's!

Now that would be a good name for an alternative cancer cure book --

" Choose the Sturgeon Instead of the Surgeon "

Hi Pam,

We have some old oleander soup (maybe a year) that we keep on hand for the times that we don't have Sutherlandia OPC. It is also kept in the refrigerator and the colloidal silver therein has clumped. We still take it with no adverse effects.

In the past, I have also made oleander soup with apple cider vinegar and have had no adverse effects whatsoever.

Warm regards,
