Hi Amy,Oleander does not cause inflammation or swelling. Actually, it is very effective against cancer in the brain as it has no problem crossing the blood brain barrier.Good luck with talking to your grandparents tonight. And as Tony said, you can reason with them. He has a chance with alternative measures.
