My response is that people often do not read a website "very carefully" and the place that I saw the NSF listed was just a link with no caveat discription together with links to legitimate health freedom organizations so that it would be very easy for someone to come along and get the impression that the organization was one that was recognized by Health Freedom NZ as being legitimate.

Exactly! It is on the same page as legitimate (we hope) organisations. It should be under a different heading that is high-lighted to draw attention to its questionable authenticity!
